It was Hall of Fame Day in Sobieski on Sunday and 3 new members were inducted in a pregame ceremony prior to the Skis game with Flensburg.  Dick Pierce, a standout in the 70's, Rick Sczublewski, a dominant player in the 80's and Troy Olson, a superb all-around player at the turn of the century, went into the Sobieski Hall as the Class of 2018.  Once the game action began, the Skis received yet another 3-hit game from Beau Hanowski, who went 3-4 with a double and a walk, scored twice and drove in a run.  Joey Hanowski added 2 hits with a double of his own, Scott Litchy, who threw 5 shutout innings to get the Win, also contributed at the plate with 2 hits and 3 rbi.  And Chris Reller had another nice game, going 2-3 and scoring twice.  The prior night in a marquee exhibition game against the powerful Cold Spring Springers, Reller drove in all 3 runs as the Skis downed Cold Spring 3-1.  Josh Genske paced the Falcons on offense by going 1-2 with a double, a walk and was hit by a pitch. Sobieski got a run in the 1st, 2 more in the 2nd and then had a 4-run 4th, keyed by a 2-run single by Scott Litchy and a 2-run double by Joey Hanowski.  The Falcons plated a run in the top of the 9th to break up the Skis shutout bid.  But the individual highlight of the day probably goes to Adam Olson.  On a day that he witness his dad Troy go into the Hall of Fame, Adam made his Victory League pitching debut, taking over from Scott Litchy after 5 innings and hurled 3 shutout frames, allowing just 1 hit while striking out 3.  Adam recently graduated from Royalton High School.  Sobieski improved to 11-0 and combined with other results from the Division on Sunday, the Skis clinched the West Division Title and an automatic trip back to the Region 8C Tournament.
