The Sobieski Skis improved to 12-0 with a 10-0 win over the Randall Cubs in 8 innings on Sunday.  The game was played in Sobieski due to wet field conditions in Randall, with the Cubs acting as the Home team.  Jake Kapphahn made his first career Victory League start a good one, hurling 5 shutout innings of 2-hit ball while striking out 5 go earn his first career Win.  Dusty Parker earned a 3-inning Save, allowing 2 hits with 2 strikeouts.  Sobieski's Collin Eckman homered twice while Dusty Parker and Tyler Jendro also went deep for Sobieski.  Eckman homered in the 2nd to make it 1-0.  In the top of the 4th, Dusty Parker belted a 2-run shot with Riley Hirsch aboard to make it 3-0.  Riley Hirsch drove in a run with a single in the 5th to give the Skis a 4-0 lead.  Collin Eckman hit his 2nd Homer of the game in the 6th with Joey Hanowski on base and it was 6-0.  Tyler Jendro's 7th inning solo Homer made it 7-0 and then in the 8th, the Skis got 3 runs on an rbi single by Adam Olson, an error and a run-scoring single by Jendro for the 10-0 final.  The Skis, who have already clinched the West Title, will host St. Mathias at 12:00 pm next Saturday in the regular season finale while the Cubs are 5-6, in 3rd place, with 2 games scheduled for next Saturday.  The first is at noon at home against Swanville and then they head to St. Mathias for a 4:00 pm contest.
