I don't think it's an understatement to say the Aitken Steam earned the biggest win in franchise history with a 6-4 stunner of the Nisswa Lightning on Sunday.  The Steam, who had been outscored 37-2 in their first two games, took a 3-0 lead in the top of the 4th on a fielders choice, an error and a single to take a 3-0 lead.  Nisswa scored in the bottom of the 4th when Kyle Schaible was hit by a Taylor Whiteoak pitch with the bases loaded to force in a run and make it 3-1.  The Lightning took the lead in the bottom of the 5th when Jeremiah Piepkorn singled and then Aaron Jenkins launched a 2-run Homer to tie it a 3-3.  Nisswa added 1 more run in the 4th on a sacrifice fly by Adam Hardy to take a 4-3 lead.  Jake Lynn took over from Taylor Whiteoak with 2 outs in the 5th and held Nisswa scoreless the rest of the way.  In the top of the 7th with the score still 4-3, the Steam loaded the bases against the new Nisswa pitcher Nate DeChaine.  Up stepped Taylor Whiteoak, who cleared the bases with a double and suddenly it was 6-4 in favor of Aitkin.  Lynn faced the minimum number of hitters over his 4 2/3 innings of relief despite allowing 2 hits due to the fact that Aitkin turned 5 double plays in the field during the game!  Final score Aitkin 6 and Nisswa 4!
