The Sobieski Skis downed the Pierz Bulldogs 5-1 at Hellie Field on Sunday with Tyler Jendro tossing 6 innings of shutout work to get the Win and Thomas Miller going 3 innings to earn the Save.  Sobieski scored twice in the 2nd on rbi singles by Tyler Jendro and Riley Hirsch to make it 2-0.  An rbi single by Joey Hanowski in the top of the 5th made it 3-0 for the Skis.  The Bulldogs broke up the shutout when a fielders choice grounder by Derek Schommer allowed Logan Meyer to score and make it 3-1 after 7 innings.  Sobieski then added an 8th inning run on an rbi double by Tyler Jendro and in the top of the 9th, Joey Hanowski delivered a sacrifice fly to make it 5-1.  In the bottom of the 9th, the Bulldogs made it interesting by getting 2 runners on base with 1 out but a great diving catch by Sobieski right fielder Dusty Parker produced the 2nd out and then Thomas Miller finished the game with a strikeout for the 5-1 final score.
